Marapets staff are all volunteers selected to help on the site by Ian (the site owner and creator). Nobody asks to be staff, you can't apply to be staff and no staff member gets paid. The site artists, however, do get paid.
Please be aware that many of the staff members use different usernames. If you see an unfamiliar username with a star it's most likely a staff member using a different username.
There are four different staff categories and each staff member has a star by his/her name to denote which category they belong to. Here are brief descriptions of each category:
They moderate the forums to keep them safe for everyone. This includes removing inappropriate signatures, giving out chat bans and answering reported topics. They also help support the admins with various tasks. If you have a question or concern that can't be answered in the forums you may contact a Moderator.
They have a lot of responsibilities including answering support tickets, banning members who break the site rules, AU swaps, returning stolen items to their owners and much more. Please DO NOT contact any Admin for help unless it is an emergency. If you have a question that can't be answered in the forums or by a Support staff member or Moderator, please submit a Support Ticket by clicking the "Contact Us" link found at the bottom of every Marapets page.

Ian is the owner and creator of Marapets. When he is online he is working on the site coding new items, games, worlds, etc. and/or fixing things that are broken. YOU SHOULD NEVER CONTACT IAN EVER. PERIOD. THE END. Again, please DO NOT send Ian mail or try to Maratalk him. If you have a question for him, please submit your question to the Editorial. If you have a true emergency and no other staff are online, please submit a ticket.
